It reads what the camera already made
Every RAW already holds a full size JPEG your camera wrote at capture. Kepla reads that. Decoding the RAW is up to forty times the work for the same answer, so it opens the real file only where the answer needs it. On this wedding, 214 frames of 4,812.

It works in the gaps of your own copy
Your card and your drives are the bottleneck. While bytes move, the Mac is idle. Kepla works in exactly that gap, so the sort finished 19 m 48 s before the copy did and cost you nothing on the clock.

How long does it take to cull a wedding?

By hand, a 4,000 to 5,000 frame wedding is four to eight hours of looking. Kepla culls 4,812 frames in 4 minutes 22 seconds on a MacBook Pro M3 Max, on battery · it runs inside your card copy, so it finishes about twenty minutes before the copy does and costs no extra time.

Does it work offline, with nothing uploaded?

Yes. Every frame is read on your Mac and its Neural Engine and GPU. No upload, no queue, no account needed to try it. On a destination wedding with no wifi it runs at exactly the same speed.

Does it find duplicates, blinks and missed focus?

It groups burst duplicates and keeps the sharpest of each moment, then flags closed eyes, missed focus, blown or very dark frames and frames with nobody in them. On this wedding: 2,836 obvious misses cleared, 1,880 clean frames left to choose from, 96 it would not judge.

Does AI culling delete or reject my photos?

Never. Kepla does not delete, and it does not write a reject flag. Everything it sets aside stays on your card and on both drives, with one of five plain reasons attached.

Does it fit Lightroom Classic?

Yes. It writes XMP sidecars beside your files and ships a Lightroom Classic plugin that rebuilds your scenes as collections. Favourites land as five stars and a red label, or a colour label or keyword if you prefer. Capture One and Bridge read the same sidecars.

How is it faster than a cloud culler?

It reads the full size JPEG your camera already wrote inside each RAW instead of decoding the RAW, it works in the idle gaps of your copy, and it never sends 240 GB anywhere. Four minutes against forty minutes to three hours, most of which is upload and queue.

What does Kepla for Mac cost?

It is free through the private preview. The first hundred photographers keep it at $99 a year for as long as they keep the app; after that it is $180 a year.

What are the system requirements?
